Program Overview
Grace Global Vision, a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, respectfully requests grant support from the Open Bank Foundation to sustain and expand our Free Youth Choir and Music Program. This program provides accessible, high-quality music education to youth while fostering compassion, leadership, and community engagement. Through performances at elderly care centers, hospitals, and community events, youth share their musical gifts to uplift and inspire individuals who are often underserved or isolated.
The program is designed to remove barriers to music education, especially for youth from low-income or underserved backgrounds, while simultaneously enriching the community with meaningful service through music.
- Program Need
Access to formal music training and opportunities for community service remains uneven across socioeconomic lines. Many young people lack resources to participate in music programs, and many elderly or hospitalized individuals suffer from loneliness and limited social connection. The Grace Global Vision Youth Choir and Music Program bridges these gaps by:
- Offering free choir and music training for youth
- Supporting community performances that uplift seniors and patients
- Creating safe, structured, and motivational environments for youth development
Music becomes both an educational tool and a vehicle for compassion.
- Program Activities and Components
Music Education and Training
Objective: Provide high-quality musical instruction to youth ages 8–18.
Activities:
- Weekly choir rehearsals
- Vocal coaching led by trained music professionals
- Instrumental instruction for students interested in piano, guitar, violin, etc.
- Access to musical instruments and sound equipment
Expected Outcomes:
- Improved musical proficiency
- Increased confidence, teamwork skills, and self-expression
- Greater engagement in positive extracurricular activities
Community Performances & Outreach
Objective: Bring joy and comfort to elderly residents, patients, and the broader community.
Activities:
- Monthly performances at senior care centers and hospitals
- Annual public concert for families and community members
- Participation in cultural or community celebrations
- Collaboration with local nonprofits and civic organizations
Expected Outcomes:

Development of Educational Resources
Objective: Expand learning opportunities both in-person and online.
Activities:
- Creation of practice guides, sheet music packets, and vocal warm-up materials
- Production of instructional videos and online tutorials
- Development of a digital resource library accessible to all participants
