Elderly Computer and Technology Education

Grace Global Vision seeks funding to launch and sustain an Elderly Computer and Technology Education Program aimed at empowering seniors with essential digital skills. Through guided sessions, this program will teach basic computer usage, internet navigation, and smartphone operation, enabling elderly participants to connect with family and access online resources. The project focuses on enhancing seniors’ independence and confidence in using technology for communication, information, and essential services.

The Elderly Computer and Technology Education Program offers hands-on training in basic computer and smartphone skills, helping seniors bridge the digital divide. Classes will cover key skills such as emailing, video calling, online banking, and safe internet practices. Conducted in small groups, sessions will be interactive and paced to accommodate individual learning styles. The program will offer ongoing support through volunteer digital “mentors” who will be available to assist participants with follow-up questions and tech challenges.

Goals and Objectives

  • To enhance the digital literacy of elderly participants so they can independently use computers and smartphones.
  • To improve seniors’ access to online resources like telehealth, social media, and virtual services.
  • To promote lifelong learning and connection by encouraging seniors to stay engaged with family, friends, and their communities through technology.
